Wasco Recreation & Park District is currently hiring a Basketball Coordinator to oversee and coordinate our youth basketball program.

The Basketball Coordinator will assist for the overall coordination of the basketball program, including all practices and games throughout the season.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist the Recreation Coordinator with the day-to-day operation of the youth basketball program
• Coordinating and overseeing practices/games held during the week
• Coordinating and overseeing games played on Saturdays
• Communicating with coaches and parents
• Managing gym activities and ensuring the facility is properly supervised during program use
• Ensuring the gym is left clean, organized, and in proper condition after practices and games
•  Addressing questions or concerns from coaches and participants
• Helping ensure coaches and teams follow District policies, rules, and procedures
• Providing a positive, organized, and safe environment for youth participants

The ideal candidate should be organized, dependable, responsible, and comfortable communicating with coaches, parents, and youth participants. Basketball experience and/or experience working with youth sports programs is preferred.
