Wasco Recreation & Park District is currently hiring a Little League Coordinators for Baseball & Softball to assist the Recreation Coordinator with the operation of our youth Little League program.

The Little League Coordinator will provide support with practices, games, field operations, and communication to help ensure the program runs smoothly throughout the season.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Recreation Coordinator with the day-to-day operation of the Little League program
• Help ensure practices and games are running according to the established schedule
• Help ensure fields are properly set up and ready for practices and games
• Assist with field and equipment take-down and storage after activities
• Ensure fields are clean, organized, safe, and ready for game day
• Assist with coordinating and overseeing umpires during games
• Communicate with coaches, umpires, parents, and participants as needed
• Help address game-day questions or concerns and report issues to the Recreation Coordinator
• Assist with ensuring coaches, umpires, and participants follow District policies and program rules
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive environment for youth participants
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Recreation Coordinator

Qualifications

• Previous youth sports or baseball/softball experience preferred
• Knowledge of Little League baseball/softball rules and game procedures
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Dependable, responsible, and punctual
• Ability to work effectively with coaches, umpires, parents, and youth
• Ability to assist with field setup and take-down
• Ability to work scheduled practices and games throughout the season
