Wasco Recreation & Park District is currently hiring a Flag Football Coordinator to assist the Recreation Coordinator with the operation and coordination of our youth flag football program.

The Flag Football Coordinator will help ensure that practices and games run smoothly and according to schedule throughout the season.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Recreation Coordinator with the overall operation of the flag football program
• Ensure practices and games are running according to the established schedule
• Ensure the field is properly set up before games
• Ensure the field and equipment are taken down and stored properly after games
• Make sure the field is clean, organized, and ready for game day
• Oversee and coordinate with game officials to ensure games run smoothly
• Communicate with coaches, officials, parents, and participants as needed
• Address scheduling or game-day questions and concerns
• Help ensure coaches, officials, and participants follow District policies and program rules
• Assist with maintaining a safe, organized, and positive environment for youth participants

Qualifications

• Previous youth sports experience preferred
• Knowledge of flag football rules and game procedures
• Experience working with coaches, officials, parents, and youth participants
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently
• Ability to assist with field setup and takedown
• Ability to work games on Saturdays
